Our History
Founded in 2015, Black Mallard Reserve was created to provide a sanctuary for the mind, body and soul.
Our Mission
Our mission at the Black Mallard Reserve is preserve the natural environment and wildlife within our boundaries. We strive to be a sanctuary for native plants and animals, providing a thriving habitat for all species to flourish. Our goal is to promote environmental stewardship and foster a deeper appreciation for the beauty and wonder of our slice of Heaven on earth.
Our Land
Featuring over 2,000 acres of forests, wetlands, grasslands, coastal areas and incredible geological features, our land will forever remain a protected area that is managed for the conservation and preservation of its natural environment and wildlife. Within the reserve our friends and family can explore nature through hiking trails, wildlife viewing, responsible hunting, fishing and just being one with nature.
By conserving these natural areas, our hope is to preserve and protect our portion of northern Michigan’s beauty for future generations.
